I've grown weary of writing in my plain text editors to allow for syncing; I want more. Of course I do—I'm a Scrivener user. (I worry about all of this too much. I should just be writing, I know.) My impatience spurred me to purchase Storyist for iOS. Good synching between devices and some of the "more" I've been missing. With Storyist, I can't write on my PC. It's Mac only, but that's okay. After the first draft is done I can import it to Scrivener and then to Word. It'll be great. But, wait, what's this?
I like Storyist! Maybe I still like Scrivener a little better, but Storyist is quite good and growing on me, and they have an iOS app. That's enough for me. And just like that, I've converted. My new MacBook Pro is on the way. Will I switch back to Scrivener if they ever get the iOS version functional? Perhaps, but I'm done holding my breath on that one. For now, I am quite happily scrivening in Storyist.
